What is softwave?
Patented. Proven. Personalized.
SoftWave represents the most effective extracorporeal shockwave technology in the marketplace that utilizes patented electrohydraulic acoustic waves to successfully treat a wide range of medical conditions.

SoftWave helps to eliminate acute and chronic pain in joints, muscles, tendons, bones and ligaments by increasing blood flow, reducing inflammation, and regenerating tissue. SoftWave technology is FDA cleared with no known side effects and is a safe and effective alternative to surgery, injections, and opioids.

It is a non-invasive treatment that offers pain relief and tissue regeneration. Simply put, SoftWave is a highly effective, non-invasive treatment option using sound waves that load your tissue in a specific way, activating growth factors, messenger cells, and stem cells to treat acute & chronic pain with success rates over 86%.
A noninvasive treatment with 3 guarantees:

Decreased inflammation
Creation of new blood vessels
Regeneration of damaged tissue
Softwave is fda cleared for:
Activation of Connective Tissue
Treatment of Chronic Diabetic Ulcers
Treatment of Acute Second Degree Burns
Improved Blood Supply
Temporary Pain Relief
how long has softwave
been around?
ESWT (Extracorpeal Shock Wave Therapy) originated in the 1950s and evolved as a treatment for urinary stones (lithotripsy) in the 1980s and has since expanded across various medical fields. Initially used for lithotripsy, it quickly gained traction for its effectiveness in promoting healing, pain relief, and functional recovery in bones and soft tissues

Shockwave therapy has been around for quite a while, is the standard of care for soft tissue injuries in Europe, and has been a non-surgical option in the US for over 20 years. Increased study and documentation over time has lead to increased adoption of shockwave therapy in multiple fields of use.
how does softwave work?
SIMPLE EXPLANATION
SoftWave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that applies short, frequent, and high intensity bursts of mechanical energy (in the form of a shock wave) into soft-tissue that is injured, scarred, containing adhesions, is painful, or inflamed. This sound wave loads the tissue in a specific way (with no microtrauma) eliciting a physical, chemical, and biological response from the body. The acoustic wave's shear force decreases inflammation via compression and expansion of the cellular membrane, which triggers a cascade of biological mechanisms recruiting stem cells, satellite cells, and other growth factors that come and regenerate damaged tissue.
SoftWave TRT is currently the only company that offers unfocused true shock wave technology in their devices.
COMPLEX EXPLANATION
SoftWaves are created by means of a high-energy electrical discharge in water. The voltage is discharged between the opposing tips (plus and minus pole) of an electrode.
The arcing or so-called spark gap causes an equalization of voltage between the two tips of the electrode whereby a hot plasma bubble is created. This bubble explodes in all directions, compresses the surrounding water and generates a pressure > 10 MPa within only a few nanoseconds (10-9s).
The released SoftWave energy is focused to various degrees by means of different patented reflector types. The more the SoftWave energy is focused, the deeper its healing effects can be guided into the treated tissue. The shockwave then compresses and expands the cell membrane resulting in a positive biological response.
SoftWave devices use patented electro-hydraulic applicators and represent the ONLY UNFOCUSED SHOCKWAVE device on the market.
SoftWave TRT's device has a wider and deeper therapeutic energy zone than other ESWT devices on the market. This results in greater healing as the energy is spread over a vastly larger and deeper area.
Physical
Generates a large positive pressure wave followed by a negative pressure wave.
Chemical
Mechanical stimulus leads to biochemical reactions. Biomolecules are released and cell signaling is activated.
Biological
Angiogenesis, inflammatory modulation, stimulation of tissue regeneration.
a true shockwave
Unlike Radial technology, which produces a pressure wave, SoftWave represents true Shock Wave technology that achieves better treatment outcomes, in fewer treatments with an overall superior patient experience.
SoftWave (and ShockWave) is different from an ultrasound which produces periodic oscillations with a narrow bandwidth and without peak pressure and fast rise times.
